Now

The past few weeks I’ve been really looking forward to my days off. I’ve been sleeping so badly because of the warm nights. So it’s nice to be able to stay in bed for a bit longer and then wake up and flick through books of flowers and plants before getting up.

There is an upcoming open weekend at Landwade Park┬áthis September, arranged by a group of florists from my old course, which I’m taking part in, to decorate the rooms of the Hall. It will be an interesting opportunity, not only from the perspective of potentially getting people interested in my work, but also to create a range of arrangements that suit the season and environment they’re being placed. There is some planning to do which is going to be a great challenge and which I’m really excited about.

An arrangement that I made this week using the most amazing scented garden roses, chocolate cosmos, daucus carota, blackberries, grasses, sorrel, jasmine and honeysuckle.
