Crawling climbers

I’m trying to take long breaths at the moment as long as the lovely warm weather lasts. I enjoy the prickling feeling of the sun and watching everything as it gets transformed by its magic touch, growing, crawling, opening.

We’re slowly making plans to move house and I’m hopeful that we’ll find a bigger garden with room for me to work, and to do more planting and gardening. I’m not a very good gardener, but really want to expand my knowledge for the coming year to grow not only flowers but hopefully some vegetables and lots of herbs as well. There is so much to learn. It is fine handling a cut flower that has been nurtured and grown to its full glory, but I want to be part of the whole process. Choosing the right soil as its bed, placing the seeds, watering, caring, feeding, watching over them patiently and seeing them unfold into something big.

Reading garden magazines, buying tons of new books to gather as much knowledge as possible to put into practice soon.
